Hello;
Well, lately - I have been planning my wedding - omgosh: It's like being 12 again!.... (big smile!)
I have not planned for any "Hollywood Glitz!" - I am not even sure if i am the right religion for 'Glitz!'
- just something simple and a volunteer...
I am kinda of set of getting married at my church, it has a wonderful wood-isey feeling to it - in the middle of 'The Valley' - Trees, bushes - just all kinds of green thing... They have a little arch-way already pre-built with some badly laid stones (had those nights!), and it would be a killer in a nice pair of heels. Anyway, the minister would have to be in the bushes if we are under the arch - heck its my wedding - the minister will be where i tell them to be... so, I will make a donation to have the stones fixed, maybe even move the whole thing...
I am thinking of a small affair - 60ish people on my side and 8 on theirs (maybe a few more!) - I am not confident about my families behavior... I have been to weddings with these people before... I might need extra security! Then I would throw into the mix - my friends - it just seems like a 'loving traditional wedding'. I would of course be on my best behavior - and some fool - would think they could take advantage - and come and tell me something that
"I did not favor" - and it would be on! - but we can hope not...
The food - is going to be 'down home style' - everything from Gumbo to Tacos to Swedish Meatballs... Yeah! I'm going to dance with any one after that...!!! (nope) I have had a lot of my friends tell me that if its not an open bar, they would not attend... and I am thinking
- "is civilization enhanced or hampered with an open bar" -
with my friends hampered...
we will see...
I know I will wear Black. and my brides-maids will be wearing a "delicious Deep Dark Purple" that is almost black... the other side I don't know yet... I kinda like a gray at this point - but I am going to have to work on that. It kinda depends on that the other side of the aisle looks like....
Lastly - I want 'Wedding Pie(s)' - don't get me wrong - I like cake - but it is a massive cake - and the taste and flavor - always get lost in the expansion to that size... I could get a bunch of tiers, and decorate the table with different kinds of pies - and have a real (the dolls) Barbie and Ken at the top... (Big Smile)
- so far, Wedding Pie(s) had not been met with a favorable response... Heck, most of my wedding plans have not been meet with a favorable response... the "Nay-Say-ers" always ask "Ava (hehehe), who are you going to marry? Hey, are you even dating any one?" - it just seems mean! But I am not 12 anymore - and this time - nobody is going to step on my dream, while - Fumbling Thru The Pieces of my wedding....
