Hello;

Dinner last night (05April2011)

 

 

 

I am no stranger to adversity,
[smile] it could be a lover,
by how well it is known!

 

I do not shriek from it,
nor do i cower, quiver or quake
- bring on the gates of hell -
i will stand!

 

and in that moment after -
lost in a flash, all intelligence,
all common sense...
(a self-satisfied-smile)

 

There is!

 

 

 

So, I pick up the reminisces
- I save the burnt bits of flesh -
as if some treasure,
if only my tears could only make these bits whole.

 

I drag,
hobble,
cry the banshee’s moan,
again -
to safety...
 - and next time...

 

and I look to my left
- and that spot is still empty,
of promise and presents

 

I normally
don't mind too much
but seeing one's heart
in the real...
