ABOUT THE FUND...
The Willie-Coppee Fund is a joint charitable endeavor between Emmy award-winning actress Hillary B. Smith and her good friend, television writer and multiple-best-selling author Lindsay Harrison, and services clients of the CA-based Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group. The fund was established several years ago to honor the memory of their beloved dogs, Willie (Lindsay's Bichon Frise) and Coppee (Hillary's Golden Retriever), and serves to discreetly assist pet owners who may be struggling with overwhelming veterinary bills. Endowments that assist pet owners are incredibly important in today's challenged economy, as countless individuals are unable to provide routine care and medically necessary services for their furry friends.

Hello;

I really dislike those debates - 

that I don't win and/or the ones where someone just leaves you 

with something that has moved you to a different place... 

This happened to me, a year or so ago - to the question 

" how many True Loves - does a person get? "

Of course [and I should have known better (smile)]

I said "dozens!" 

dismissively...

She went on to explain, and very patiently (grrr...!!!!) 

" then why is your ' soul mate ' or ' the one ' - so elusive for you? 

If dozens are your playing field..." 

------ Check and Mate!!!... (Curses!) ------

Humbled, baited and hooked 

- and well aware, 

I was not going to like this woman, 

I held my head high and replied 

" huh! "

She went on 

" if there is a 'one', a soul-mate - there is only that opportunity... 

On the happen-stance, 

that you lived long enough, and your mate died soon enough

- or events came full circle - 

a person; possible - would only get two opportunities 

at true love, at the very most... "

Wow! 

I'm not even going to Show in this Horse (not my 1st choice) Race, 

I may just break a leg and volunteer to be shot!... 

Come on! - when someone plays the ' happen-stance ' card 

- this debate is "fait accompli"... -

So, I switched tactics 

and listened...

She Continued 

" As hopeless as it all sounded, 

on the other end of this potential truth 

- maybe you and yours haven't connected yet! " -

her smile at this point was quite charming, 

Victory does that to the corners of a girls mouth... 

And I was totally reconsidered that dislike-ing her thing... 

(smile) 

Anyway, 
I ended that night at home, 
and had a heart-felt cry...
